LCA4Climate participates in the Barcelona's Climate Emergency Table

Researchers from the UNESCO Chair in Life Cycle and Climate Change ESCI-UPF will participate in the Climate Emergency Table organized by the city of Barcelona. The Table has as a first objective to draw the guidelines for the Climate Emergency Declaration in Barcelona, to be called on January 1st 2020.

The Table is a working group from the Sustainability Council, seeking to maintain the spirit of participation and collective commitment attained after Barcelona's Climate Plan. At the same time, Spain's administration, La Generalitat de Catalunya and all city hall parliamentary groups sum up to configure a working framework able to bind the city government and all the relevant stakeholders to fight the climate emergency.

Before December 31st, the Table will present the 2020-2025 action plan, with specific measures to develop for an effective way of facing the climate emergency. A follow-up and evaluation of such plan will be done timely. Furthermore, the Table will be the space where the city government will report the advancement and fulfilment of the acquired commitments.
