Dr. Silvia Ayuso
Qualifications
Silvia Ayuso graduated in Environmental Engineering and Philosophy from Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin) and holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She has been a post-doctoral research fellow at the Center for Business in Society and at the 'la Caixa' Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance at IESE Business School (UNAV).
Professional and research activity
Silvia Ayuso is the academic director of the MANGO Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility at ESCI-UPF and the deputy director of the Master of Science in Sustainability Management (ESCI-UPF/UPF-BSM). Prior to joining academia, she has worked as an environmental consultant and environmental management systems auditor (ISO 14001).
Silvia has a large experience in research and teaching within the field of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and social accounting. She is the vice-chair of Global Economic Accounting (GEAccounting), the Spanish association for the promotion of social accounting. She participated as a lecturer in the MOOC course Monetisation of the integral social value generated by organisations, winner of the Award of Excellence by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) in its first edition in 2017. She also won the GEAccounting Best Paper Award in Social Accounting for Sustainability in the XXXIV AEDEM Annual Congress in 2020.
